Family Planning Program Funded for a Full Semester!

The success of our July Bonus Day campaign through Global Giving was beyond our expectations! Thanks to our long-time associate, Barbara Ruley, we have the funds to conduct a full semester of our Family Planning Program. She generously contributed $7,200 to make this training possible.
Los Cabos has one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the world, and reaching boys and girls with awareness training will help change these negative statistics. A purposeful message to young girls that they have value of their own right will disrupt the culture of submissiveness. The impact on the community will be significant.
For almost three years, Barbara has supported the Women’s Center with her creativity, endless energy, and generous financial contributions. During this time, she has assisted several disadvantaged women with their individual needs – paying for a dental hygiene education, the annual rent of staff member, the required certification fee of our clerk who is graduating from law school – the list goes on and on.
