Saturdays at the San Jose Organic Farmers Market

Sarahuaro women bring their handicrafts to market as a component of their training. Here they practice their English, observe and participate in selling skills, and learn display techniques, all while developing confidence and self-esteem under the guidance of a teacher. Proceeds go to the artisans and to help pay for the supplies and teachers needed to create more crafts.

I have learned to sew, knit and make jewelry at Sarahuaro and have become self sufficient.
